To get a taxi from Costambar just call 809-970-7318, that number is for the local taxi association, meaning access to all the members.
You can take a taxi from anywhere in DR to get to Costambar Beach, it takes 15 minutes from the center of Puerto Plata, driving. From Sosua and Cabarete about 35-40 minutes.
Yes, the Costambar owners association keeps constant patrol of the entrance and surroundings of the project, plus the Tourist Police (Politur). Security is much better than it used to be.
In order to get a villa rental or condo please use the usual channels (airbnb, vrbo, homeaway, expedia, etc ) where all the listings are available. This website will publish a list you can find in the menu.
