El Carey Restaurant Bar in Costambar Beach is the one for dancing local rhythms (merengue, tipico, bachata) as the bar includes a large dance hall. After a relaxing meal and drinks by the beach you might feel tempted to try some dancing here, and Kelvin the host knows how to play the music that vibrates into the visitors.
The bar serves international drinks and they have their trademark spirit called Blue Sea, a mix of banana liqueur, Blue Curacao, white rum and lime. Judging by the effects on my friend Milagros, a first time volunteer for trying it, it can make you quite happy.
El Carey has one of the nicest lounge areas, with thatched umbrellas facing one of the postcard-quality shores in Costambar Beach. Their staff serves either at the tables or the loungers nearest to the beach shore, always on time. The menu includes local and international dishes, seafood, pasta, chicken, sandwiches, fresh fruit juice and Presidente beer among other drinks. Feel free to contact the host at 809-970-3341.
